POSTCARDS FROM GREAT BRITAIN

Group Exhibition - November 2021 to January 2022, Shutter Hub

In a significant period in European history, the postcards project sets out to document and share British culture through photographic images and create a dialogue between Great Britain and Europe. My work was featured in this exhibition as part of a series of pop-up exhibitions held in locations across Europe:

POSTCARD FROM GREAT BRITAIN: LUNCHTIME BY THE THAMES

London, United Kingdom.

There is a "strolling" culture, especially during the lunchtime period. It's when you are supposed to get your coffee from the local Barista and wrapped sandwich "on-the-go" to keep up with the fast-pace of the city, and you find "your spot" to eat and drink before returning to the office. I found myself living in London doing anything possible to reduce the amount of time I spent on the crowded tube and started walking between the tube stations and further afield. When you are on the tube you don't look too closely at the people sharing your journey, but you notice their shapes and motions and that's what I wanted to capture through these "identifiable types" of silhouettes of those strolling along by the river.
